Portal Desktop Icons by Solonir Portal Desktop Icons by Solonir
This icon pack was originally meant to be a Christmas present for ~Irosimo but she suggested that I should upload it here and share it with everyone. Although I'm not a fan of Portal and have never played the game I have to admit that designing these icons was extremely challenging and rewarding. I've refined my icon-designing skills quite a lot. Finally, I'd like to give credit to ~CoffeeDaze because my companion cube icon design is based on his vector line art. Whether you are Portal fan or not, I hope you enjoy these icons as much as I enjoyed creating them.

For folders:

- Right click on the folder.
- Select "Properties".
- A new window will pop up.
- Select Customize tab.
- Select "Choose picture".
- Browse for the desired picture.
- Click "Apply" to apply changes.

For icons: (Shortcuts)

- Right click on the shortcut icon. (Usually has arrow symbol at bottom left of picture)
- Select "Properties".
- A new window will pop up.
- Select "Change Icon".
- Browse for any ".ico" file.
- Click "Apply" to save changes.

Note: You can only change folder and shortcut icons on your desktop. You need to have the picture changed to .ico file.

The file is a WinRAR archive file, so you will have to extract it once you finish downloading it. Note: You may need either WinRAR or WinZip in order to extract it (I recommend WinRAR). If you have either of those programs already installed on your computer then once you download the file simply right click it and select 'Extract Here' on the menu that pops up. If you selected 'Extract Here' then the 'Portal Desktop Icons' folder will appear next to the archive file. From there simply follow the instructions (here). The website has an easy to follow step by step guide on how to change both desktop and folder icons. I hope it helped. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask :D
